Quarterback Nick Stevens and center Jake Bennett reunited at the East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Jan. 20, with both players suiting up for the West team. Bennett earned the starting nod at center, while Stevens completed 4-of-7 passes for 29 yards.
Â
Andrew Mason of DenverBroncos.com profiled the prolific CSU duo in the days leading up the game. Bennett and Stevens noted the comfort level they have with one another on the practice field, even comparing it to a "broken-in baseball glove". Bennet also stated that the pro-style concepts from CSU's offense have helped give him an advantage going into the both the game and week of practice.
