Women’s Basketball (1999 to 2003)

Ashley Augspurger arrived on the CSU campus in the fall of 1999 at the height of the Tom Collen coaching era. She immediately made an impact on the women’s basketball team earning all-conference honors in her freshman season of 1999-2000. Augspurger went on to earn three more all-conference honors along with being named to the academic all-conference team all four seasons she played. In her senior year she was named a Kodak honorable mention All-American and ended her outstanding career at CSU with 1,477 points scored, 313 free throws made, and held the school record for field goal percentage in a single game. Augspurger was an integral part of the 2001 MWC tournament champions and 2002 regular season conference champions. 

After CSU, Augspurger went on to play in the European League from 2003 to 2007. Ashley Auguspurger-Davis went on to receive her doctorate from The Ohio State University in 2012 and since 2017 is a surgical specialist of general and trauma surgery in the University of Alabama Birmingham hospital system.
