Athletics Communications

Colorado State is a nationally prominent brand, due in large part to the success of its athletics teams and the media coverage they receive. On a daily basis, the Rams are covered by four newspapers in addition to the Associated Press. What's more, seven area television stations and several radio outlets along the front range come to campus to interview and feature CSU's student-athletes and coaches. The school's athletics programs also are covered by numerous websites.

Communications vision statement: To continually strive for excellence, regardless of the circumstances, in presenting, preserving and enhancing a positive overall image for Colorado State Athletics. We are the guardians of our school's most important attribute - its image.

Rams coaches, student-athletes and athletics administration work closely with the communications staff in servicing the media. In addition to coordinating interviews and press conferences, the office compiles and presents accurate information to the public and media utilizing several communications platforms, including press releases and media guides.

Communications also issues credentials to home athletics events and, seven days a week, delivers the latest news, statistics and features to the public and media on CSURams.com.
