Track and Field (1973 to 1976)
Bob Parry continued to hold records at CSU nearly 40 years after he competed and is one of few CSU athletes to have won a national championship. A four-year letterman, Parry set the school record in the 440 on May 10, 1975, his 46.70 weathering multiple seasons. Parry captured two All-American honors in 1974 and 1975 for the 600 meters indoor competition. While competing at CSU, Parry set 11 CSU records and competed in the NCAA championships. In 1975 and 1976 he finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the nation at the NCAA Championships.
After his CSU career, Parry went on to a successful career in teaching and coaching high school track. Â
