Wynn has the distinction of not only being an outstanding defensive back, but he remains as one of the finest kick and punt return specialists in school history. He helped guide the 2000 and 2002 Rams to coach Sonny Lubick’s last conference championships, and by his senior year, was named a third-team All-American by CBS Sportsline.com. Wynn graduated second all-time in career kickoff return average with 26.9 yards and tied with Ron Harris for the longest kickoff return for a touchdown with a 100-yard return against San Diego State on the road in 2000. He was selected to five all-conference teams, three as kick return and two as defensive back.

Wynn was selected in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles where he spent six seasons as a defensive back. Wynn then went on to play for the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions before retiring from the NFL after the 2008 season. During his NFL career, Wynn had a kick return average of 21.4 yards and a punt return average of 8.6 yards.
