She competed as a basketball player for one year with the Rams, but it was her amazing talents on the volleyball court which earned her a 1987 first-team All-American award; the second in school history. Saba also earned all-conference honors in 1986 and 1987 along with the HCAC offensive player of the year in her 1987 senior year. Saba held the school record for solo blocks upon graduation and helped lead her teams to one conference championship in 1985 and four NCAA tournament appearances during her career.

Following graduation, Saba played professionally for the Portland Spikers and the Arizona Blaze in 1988 and 1989, being named to the Major League Volleyball All-Star team in 1989. She also played for the Colorado Thunder in 1997 and 1998 and was named the top volleyball player in Colorado AA doubles from 1988 to 1990. Saba coached at Windsor High School (1987-1989) and Fort Collins High School (1998-2004), collecting a 109-49 record with the Lambkins. She has worked as the athletic director at the Fort Collins Club for several years.
