Women’s Swimming and Diving (1988 to 1991)

Jeannette Beitz established herself as one of the finest swimmers in school history and did it in her hometown of Fort Collins. A 1987 graduate of Fort Collins High School, Beitz first attended UCLA but transferred to CSU after her freshman season despite earning All-American honors in three events. While at CSU, Beitz collected three All-Conference honors, 11 conference championships -- nine in the High Country Athletic Conference and two in the Western Athletic Conference. In 1989 she rset a record with 325 points in a single season. When she left CSU she held school records in the 200-yard medley, 100 backstroke and 400 relay. She was an academic All-American at UCLA and continued that to CSU being named an academic All-American in 1991. She also received honorable mention All-American in 1991 for the 50 freestyle. 

After graduation, Beitz went to the US Olympic trials and is now a full-time mom with three children.
