Softball (2004 to 2007)

Jessica Strickland remains as one of the finest softball players in CSU history and the first to be named to two different All-America teams in one season. She came to CSU from Green Mountain High School in Lakewood and immediately became a factor on the 2004 Mountain West championship team as a pitcher. She was named the Newcomer of the Year by the conference and received honorable mention All-American honors. A four-time All-MW pitcher, Strickland was also named to three NFCA All-Region teams. Her 2006 season ranks as one of the best in school history both as a pitcher and a batter, earning NFCA second-team All-America honors. Upon graduation, Strickland hdld two season records and three career records in pitching and batting. 

During the summer of 2006, Strickland worked with Triple Crown Sports to run youth softball tournaments. She also played for the Triple Crown Force semi-professional team as a designated hitter. She graduated in 2008 with a BA in Human Development and Family Studies receiving her teaching degree in early childhood education. Since graduation she has taught the first grade, is married and has one son.
