Kevin Sheesley is the last in a long group of CSU athletes to have lettered four years in both wrestling and football. On the mat, Sheesley became the all-time winningest wrestler in school history with a career record of 67-20. He went undefeated in his junior and senior seasons and was a three-time WAC champion in the 190-pound weight class. Sheesley sustained an injury just before the national tournament in his senior year, just missing out on All-American status. On the gridiron, Sheesley started at outside linebacker in his junior and senior seasons, being named honorable mention All-WAC.

After graduation, Sheesley went into business and is one of the co-owners of the popular restaurant C.B. and Potts.

  • All-Century Football Team (1992)
  • Two-time M.I.W.A champion and two-time Western Regional champion
  • Recorded 20 tackles against Mississippi State in 1981
