A third-team AVCA All American in 2011 leading the nation in blocks per set, Megan Plourde additionally earned third-team All-American honors by Volleyball Magazine in 2011 and was a three-time AVCA honorable mention All-American in her first three seasons with the Rams. Plourde earned four AVCA All-Region honors and was a four-time All-Mountain West selection. Plourde helped lead her team to four Mountain West championships in all four of her seasons, and she finished her career with the school record in block assists and second in total blocks. Following her collegiate career, she played professionally in Croatia and Switzerland.
