Volleyball (2001 to 2004)
Melissa Courtney dominated the court at CSU during her four years of championship play. She helped guide her team to four consecutive Mountain West championships and was named the MWC player of the year in both 2003 and 2004. As one of the finest setters in school history, Courtney also earned two AVCA honorable mention All-American awards. Courtney graduated with the school record for career aces and finished her career with 4,566 assists, averging 12.37 assists per set, and was named to two AVCA All-Region teams in 2003 and 2004. On November 22, 2004 she was named as the AVCA National Player of the week. All four teams she played on were in the NCAA tournament with the 2001 and 2003 teams making it to the Sweet 16.
