Softball (1984 to 1987)

Tammy Taylor-Bearly is the first CSU women’s athlete to receive a full-ride softball scholarship in school history. A native of Fort Collins, Taylor-Bearly set a school record with a 2.21 ERA and 205 strikeouts. She also set school records for fewest hits allowed, fewest runs allowed and lowest ERA. She started 57 games in her career pitching 54 of them as complete games over 399 innings. In 1987 she earned all-conference honors in the High Country Athletic Conference and was also named to four academic all-conference teams.

While in school, Taylor-Bearly played for Athletes in Action during her sophomore year in 1985. She later coached for Athletes in Action in 1986 and 1987 while she still played for the Rams softball team. She has also volunteered to coach at Fort Collins Youth softball programs and continues to work for CSU today.
