Knudson Earns Academic Honor

Fort Collins, Colo. - Colorado State University swimmer Kristin Knudson was named to the second team of the Verizon Academic District VII Women's At-Large team announced today by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).

Knudson, a senior from Estes Park, Colo., has a 3.95 grade point average and is majoring in Nutrition and Food Science.

In 2003, Knudson was a member of three first-place relay teams during the Mountain West Conference Championships. Individually she finished second in the 50-meter freestyle and fifth in the 100-meter freestyle events, respectively, and was a first-team all-conference selection.

Knudson's mother, Wendy, was a star track performer at Colorado State in the 1970's a competed as a member of the U.S. Olympic Team in Montreal in 1976.
