Colorado State swimming and diving coach John Mattos announced Thursday that CSU signed four recruits to a National Letter of Intent. Ashley Lonon (Grapevine, Tex.), Lyndsey Cox (Littleton, Colo.), Stephanie Meyer (Ft. Wayne, Ind.) and Annsley Lujan (Arvada, Colo.), committed to swim for the Rams beginning in the fall of 2005.

Lonon, a school record holder and team MVP from Grapevine High School, should make an immediate impact on the Rams? roster. The 6?0? high school senior is a premier mid-distance freestyler with great backstroke capabilities.

Cox, another 6?0? senior, bgrings a wealth of experience to a young Ram Squad. The Dakota Ridge High School record holder has competed at both the Junior National and U.S. Open level. She is a consummate backstroker with strong I.M. and sprinting abilities.

Meyer, a fellow Junior National qualifier, will add depth in multiple events. She is a 2005 graduate of Snider High School and brings strength to the backstroke events as well as the versatility of sprint freestyle, breasstroke and I.M.

Lujan, another local product, signed early with the Rams and will make an early impact as a breaststroker. The Mullen High School senior and U.S. Open qualifier adds depth and strength to both breaststroke events and the I.M. Lujan completes Colorado State?s recruiting class for 2005.

These four signees are expected to complete an already strong roster and will compete for spots immediately.
