Colorado State sophomore Chandra Engs has been named Mountain West Conference Women?s Swimmer of the week. This is the first career award for Engs.

Engs, a Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, native, helped the Rams to dual meet victories over Northern Colorado and conference foe Air Force last weekend, claiming four first-place finishes in the process. Against the Bears, she was victorious in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.65), 100-yard freestyle (54.22) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:11.32, season best). In CSU?s conference win over the Falcons, Engs tallied a win in the 100-yard freestyle (10:47.30) and also placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.42).

Colorado State, 5-1 in dual meets this year, will return to action on Jan. 7 when they compete in the Miami (Fla.) Invite.
