Pre-NCAA Meet Attracts Best in Nation

Next up: The Rams will run at the Pre-NCAA meet in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday. The Rams will get a chance to face the top teams in the nation on the NCAA Championship course.
Among the men's teams entered are No. 3 Colorado, No. 4 BYU, No. 5 Stanford, and No. 7 Notre Dame. The women's race will feature teams from No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Stanford, No. 4 BYU, No. 5 Illinois, and No. 6 Arizona State.
The meet will give a sneak peak of the Mountain West Conference Championship with teams from Air Force, BYU, and TCU represented for the men and the women. The MWC Championship will be raced on Oct. 29, in Fort Collins, Colo.
Notre Dame Recap: The Colorado State University men's and women's cross country teams finished 10th and 11th, respectively at the 50th annual Notre Dame Invitational. The men had a total of 310 points, led by senior Josh Glaab who finished 14th overall with a time of 24:05. The women totaled 308 points with freshman Kirsten Anthony crossing the line in 30th place with a time of 17:41.
Behind Glaab was senior Paul Michel finishing 46th with a time of 24:49. Freshman Scott Sanders came in third on the team and 80th overall posting a time of 25:18. Fellow freshman Jeff Wahl closely followed with a time of 25:19. Junior Nelson Palacios was the fifth Ram running a time of 25:31 and finishing 97th.
Following Anthony was sophomore April Thomas, finishing 51st overall with a time of 17:53. Next for the women was junior Danielle Korb, running a time of 18:02 and finishing 63rd overall. Sophomore Heather Loseke crossed the line 75th overall posting a time of 18:08. Freshman Chantelle Dron finished fifth for the Rams and 96th overall with a time of 18:25.
The University of Arizona won the meet for the men with five runners in the top thirty. The University of Michigan won the women's race, also with five runners in the top thirty.
