Rams Finish Competition At Speedo Cup

The Colorado State swimming and diving team finished eighth overall at the Speedo Cup in Long Beach, Calif. on Saturday.
The Rams swam well in the 200 backstroke placing three in the top 15. Brette Winegarner placed ninth (2:04.91) followed by Lyndsey Cox who placed 13th (2:06.32) and Amy Abrams who came in 14th (2:06.64).
Colorado State's Tara Staley was the only Ram to make the finals of the 100 freestyle. Staley finished 24th with a time of 53.33.
The Rams will compete at Wyoming on Tuesday, Nov. 22 in Laramie, Wyo. The meet time has been moved to 5:00 p.m. MT due to class conflicts.
