CSU Swimming Tied for Seventh At UCI/Speedo Cup

The Colorado State swimming and diving team is in a tie for seventh place after the first day of the UCI/Speedo Cup in Long Beach, Calif.
The Rams' "A" relay of Jennifer Muniz, Brette Winegarner, Tara Staley and Carmen Cianci started the meet with a seventh place finish (1:38.56) in the 200 free relay.
Staley and Muniz each captured third-place finishes in individual events for the Rams. Staley posted a time of 5:02.21 in the 500 free, while Muniz finished the 200 IM in a time of 2:06.03.
The Rams will continue competition at the UCI/Speedo Cup Friday and Saturday.
