Swimming Finishes in Sixth in the MWC Championships

Oklahoma City, Okla. - CSU's Liz Jones finished fifth in the 100 Freestyle and CSU came in sixth in the 2006 Mountain West Championships in Oklahoma City Saturday.

CSU's Brette Winegarner came in seventh in the 200 Backstroke with a 2:03.82 with Lyndsey Cox (2:04.81) and Ashley Lonon (2:06.51) finishing 11th and 12th respectively.

Jones' fifth place finish (51.17) was the Rams' best of the day before Annsley Lujan (2:21.68) and Kerri Glassner (2:22.26) came in ninth and 12th in the 200 Breaststroke.

In the 200 Butterfly, senior Rachelle Kula came in 10th (2:07.21) while Sara Servold came in 14th (2:09.58).

Taylor Felton was sixth in the 1650 Freestyle with a 17:12.39 with Celes Parks in ninth (17:23.65) and MacKenzie Brown in 19th (17:54.61).

The Rams came in sixth in the 400 Freestyle Relay to close out the night with a 3:29.42. The team consisted of Jones, Cox, Winegarner and Tara Staley.
