CSU Divers Fare Well in Loss to Rebels

In the Rams' final dual of the season the Rams dropped to 4-4 in conference duals heading into the MWC Championships following a 161-82 loss to UNLV on Friday in Moby Pool.

Sophomore Karin Knudson set two new personal bests with a second-place score of 256.27 in the 1-meter diving and a first-place score of 288.22 in the 3-meter diving. Elyse Hall improved her NCAA qualifying mark in the 3-meter diving with a score of 272.18 and placed second in the dual and while winning the 1-meter diving with a score of 262.50.

Senior Taylor Felton improved her season's top time in the 1000 Freestyle placing first with a mark of 10:37.45, which also ranks as CSU's best time in this event this season. Freshman Lyndsey Cox also improved her best season time in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 59.10 placing second against the Rebels. Junior Brette Winegarner beat her top time previously set at the Speedo Cup of 24.95 to 24.86 and freshmen Kerri Glassner (1:08.98) and Annsley Lujan (1:09.38) both bettered their times in the 100 Breastroke.

Colorado State will compete next in the MWC Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. Feb. 22-25.
