Colorado State sophomore Jeremy Freed was selected as the Mountain West Conference men's cross country athlete of the week.
Freed, an Evergreen, Colo., native, finished 27th at the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn., last weekend. He was the first MWC athlete to cross the finish line in an 8K personal-best time of 25:24.55, helping the Rams to a 16th place finish. Freed has led the Rams across the tape the last two weeks.
The Colorado State men's team will be idle this week, while the women's team will compete in Boulder at the Rocky Mountain Shootout.
