CSU cross country dominates the Wyoming Invitational

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State cross country teams were dominant at the Wyoming Invitational as the women won their fourth consecutive title and the men finished second in Laramie. Senior Heather Loseke won the women's title with a time of 14:42.5. Sophomore Jeremy Freed finished third with a time of 22:08.6 leading the men's squad.
The women's team placed eight runners in the top-ten spots on the way to the title, defeating host Wyoming by 29 points. Air Force finished third and Northern Colorado ended in fourth, with Colorado College rounding out the competition.
Air Force won the men's meet by just seven points over the Rams. Wyoming and Northern Colorado finished third and fourth respectively. The Rams had a pair in the top five.
CSU will host the Colorado Classic at Hughes Stadium Sept. 15. The course will be the home of the 2008 NCAA Cross Country Regional.
