FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State swimming and diving program announced Thursday the signings of three student-athletes - Arianne Lujan, Genevieve Swartz and Mary Foster - to National Letters of Intent. Head Coach John Mattos made the announcement.
“These young ladies will be great additions to our team for next season and should push us right to the edge of challenging for championships again in the Mountain West Conference,” Mattos said.
Lujan joins the Rams from Ralston Valley High School in Arvada, Colo., where she is a state champion and has helped lead the Mustangs to back-to-back team titles in Class 4A. She is also the younger sister of current Rams senior standout Annsley Lujan.
“She is just a super talent,” said Mattos of Arianne Lujan. “IM, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, she does it all.”
Foster and Swartz join Colorado State from The Woodlands, Texas.
“These two young ladies are coming in very strong,” added Mattos. “Mary swims the butterfly and freestyle and Genevieve is a freestyler with huge range; she can go short or long.”
