CSU's Muniz and Kelley earn swimmer and diver awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State junior Jennifer Muniz was named Women's Swimmer of the Week, while Colorado State junior Nicole Kelley earned diving plaudits.
Muniz, who hails from Littleton, Colo., helped Colorado State clinch its 174-126 victory over bitter rival Wyoming by sweeping the butterfly events. The junior recorded personal-bests in both races, finishing the 100-yard race in 56.40 and the 200-yard event in 2:05.29.
Kelley, a product of Brighton, Colo., landed a first-place finish on the 3-meter springboard with a personal-best 292.73. The junior's mark outscored Wyoming junior Stephanie Ortiz, who was previously undefeated on the 1-meter board in 2009. She also scored 262.87 on the 1-meter springboard to place third.
