FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Two Colorado State swimmers, Breann Fuller and Sam Dole, rounded out the summer by competing amongst the best competition in the country at the U.S. Open Swimming Championships last month at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

Fuller, a sophomore, competed in the 100 and 200 Backstroke.  In the 200 Backstroke, she logged a new lifetime best at 2 minutes, 18.75 seconds, dropping 2-and-a-half seconds off her previous best. Fuller's new record brought her a 41st-place finish out of 84 competitors. In the 100 Backstroke, Fuller swam a 1:03:89, landing her in 35th place out of 97.

Dole, a junior, gave her full effort in the 50 Freestyle with a 26:51 time and 32nd place out of 71 entrants.

Although the swimmers were at the championships competing for their club teams, Fuller with North Jeffco Swim Team and Dole with Highlands Ranch Aquatics, they both represented Colorado State University wearing their gear with pride.
