CSU's Keyser captures MWC Athlete of Week

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Ellie Keyser has been perfect so far this year, winning both races in which she has competed. The Mountain West Conference rewarded her Tuesday by naming her the women’s cross country Athlete of the Week.
The Fort Collins native won the women’s 5K race this past weekend at the Colorado State Invitational. This came only six days after breaking her own course record at the Wyoming Invitational. Keyser owns the best 5K time in the MWC this season.
This is the third year in a row Keyser has received the honor from the Mountain West Conference.
The Rams are in action next at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn., on Sept. 25.
