COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With help from a variety of new faces the Colorado State indoor track and field team began the 2011 season strong Friday at the Air Force All Comers Meet.

Also on the women’s side, freshmen Lindsey Banning and Kayla Wein recorded seventh-place finishes in the 400-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles respectively.
Cate Brus and Ian Lettow both earned first-place wins for the Rams. Brus cleared a height of 1.67 meters in the high jump and Lettow recorded a distance of 17.76 meters in the weight throw.
On the men’s side, freshman Seth Monson led the way with his second-place finish in the 400-meter dash. In the 800-meter run Ryan Friese and Alex Balsiger finished second and third respectively. Kelby Dias picked up where he left off last year taking third in the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 8.18.
