FORT COLLINS, Colo.-
The Colorado State track and field team will travel to the Air Force Academy Friday to compete at the Front Range Classic. It is the Rams' final tune up before the Mountain West championships, which are scheduled for May 9-12.

CSU will compete against MW foes New Mexico, Air Force and Wyoming in addition to regional rivals Colorado and Northern Colorado.

The meet will be held at the newly-constructed Cadet Outdoor Track and Field Complex, which will also serve as the host site for the MW championships.

CSU enters the weekend ranked fourth in the Mountain region on the women's side and seventh on the men's side.

The Rams will send a partial squad in order to rest certain athletes for the conference meet.

CSU finished second in the meet on both the men's and women's side at last year's Front Range Classic.

Competition begins at 11 a.m. MST with the women's hammer throw.
