Rams announce summer throws camp

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State track & field program announced its 2014 summer throws camp dates on Friday. Athletes and coaches will have the opportunity to train with two former Olympians July 19-20.
Head Coach Brian Bedard welcomes two CSU alums: NCAA national champion and U.S. Olympian, Loree Smith, along with NCAA national champion and multiple Olympian, Casey Malone, to help demonstrate the technique involved in throwing the shot put and the discus.
The camp will offer specific skill instruction and demonstrations by qualified coaches and current Ram student-athletes. Coaches are encouraged to observed and ask questions during the camp to further develop coaching strategies and technical knowledge. The camp has an outstanding coach-to-athlete ratio of optimal instruction.
