IN THEIR WORDS
Colorado State head coach Brian Bedard
"It was a great `start-up' meet for us. One of our goals was to establish a good starting point for us. I think we accomplished what we set out to do. I think we had some real highlights. We competed very few of our distance and middle distance runners, but in most of the event areas we saw some bright spots. We had some beautiful weather today, so we were obviously thankful for that. Our athletes had a great attitude and we competed hard."

On Kelcey Bedard's performance in the hammer and discus:
"She's been training and hitting PR throws in practice for the last couple of weeks. I thought she could PR in one or both events, so it's not a huge surprise. Just because you're doing that in practice doesn't mean you'll do that in the meet - you have to keep your composure. She's off to a good start. I'm happy for her that her hard work is paying off."

On Mostafa Hassan's performance in the discus:
"I'm pumped for him. Lifetime best for him and he moves up our all-time list, knocking me down a spot (to 16th all-time in CSU history)."

NOTES
- Aliya Simpson's mark of 11-9.75 in the pole vault ranks as the 10th-best in the event on CSU's all-time outdoor list.
- With his high jump mark of 6-9, Trenton Wallace ranks at No. 9 on the Rams' all-time outdoor list.
- Amelia Harvey now ranks as the No. 15 performer in the triple jump on CSU's all-time outdoor list with her mark of 38-0/11.58m.
