Staiano Low Amateur, Two Rams In Top 10 of CoBank Colorado Open

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State men's golf program was well represented in the 53rd CoBank Colorado Open, July 20-23, with two current or former players in the top 10 and five making the cut. The four-day, 72-hole tournament was played at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in Denver, Colorado.
Rising junior Jake Staiano was the lone member of the current roster to make the cut, finishing as the top amateur in a tie for eighth at 15-under 273. Staiano had all four rounds of par or better, including an 8-under 64 in the second round.
Recent graduate Blake Cannon placed seventh at 16-under 272, shooting a 5-under 67 in both the first and last rounds of the tournament. Alum Riley Arp tied for 22nd at 12-under 272, while fellow alumni Parker Edens and Zakhai Brown tied for 52nd at 4-under 284.
