Seven Rams posted perfect 4.0 GPAs for the semester

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Colorado State Rams swimming & diving squad earned Scholar All-America recognition, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America announced today.

The squad posted a 3.35 composite team GPA for the Fall 2017 semester. For a team to be considered, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.

CSU has earned 11 consecutive Scholar All-America honors, and 15 times since 2009.

"Our team and our staff work diligently every year to secure CSCAA Scholar All-American status," CSU head coach Woody Woodard said. "It's a testament to CSU and its wonderful support system of advisors, tutors, learning specialists, coaches who value education."

In addition, seven Rams on the current roster registered perfect 4.0 GPAs in the fall:
"These seven athletes in particular not only work tirelessly in pursuit of our team goals, but they share their passion for learning with us and that is most exciting when we get to revel in their success," Woodard added.

The Rams wrapped up their 2017-18 regular season with a 183-114 win over Air Force on Friday. CSU posted a perfect 6-0 mark in the month of January in its last month of competition before the 2018 Mountain West Championships (Feb. 14-17 in San Antonio).
