In this RamWire exclusive series, we go in focus and get the details on some of the most engaging photos from CSU Athletics events. Our first photo features men's basketball junior guard Hyron Edwards Jr. during a 74-65 win over Fresno State earlier this season.

On his initial reaction to the photo

All I saw was a little hand go out the whole game. He kept trying to give me five, but we had been going back and forth in a battle so when I knocked the ball out of bounds by him, I finally got the chance to reach him and give him a high-five.

I just love kids, I have two nephews that love basketball as well. They look up to me, they watch every game on TV, on the website and they try to keep up as well. They're two- and eight-years old right now, so I just want to be a role model to the fans and to the kids is just a big thing to me.

On sharing the photo on his social media

When I first saw the picture, I was like "wow this is one of my best basketball pictures I've ever had." I had to save it and send it out to Twitter and Instagram. I wanted to show people so they could see my true colors, and how I really feel about the fans being at the game and supporting us.

On finding a moment in an intense game to interact with a fan

I'm just trying to have fun, have love for the game and the fans. I love to see us win, shoot threes and get dunks, but I was just blessed I made a play by him and the ball went that way where the ref was. That was just my moment to give him the high-five that he was supposed to get five minutes ago. I wanted to take my time and show him that he is important to me just as important as I to him. There's a lot behind a picture and I'm happy I can show love to our fans and be loyal.

On how fans can affect the game

You can miss three or four threes in a row at home, but you make that one and the fans are still going to go crazy. That brings your joy and your love for the game back out, and you start to feel like you can go and make another play just to get the win.

On how crowds have been at Moby this season

From the start of the season to now I feel like the crowds are getting better and better each game. The Nevada game really showed that when the student section comes out it makes a big difference to us. We can get a boost of excitement and we were just ready to play after seeing our friends in the crowd. We want to play well for them. I remember this Fresno game was getting close and the crowd was just cheering so loud, and that really helps us.

On the support from Ram Nation

If you have a bad game, you still get the kids running up after the game wanting a high five. The same fans that see you win, see you lose. I feel like the fans here are just so loyal. We've been through ups and downs this season. We've had some good games, some great games, and some very bad games. They still stick by us and they still come and support us so that's all that matters. Their support is everything to our program.
