Colorado State elects to move meet from Saturday to Sunday to take advantage of warmer weather and more favorable conditions
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Doug Max Invitational presented by Ed Carroll VW Porsche Audi, Fort Collins, originally scheduled for Saturday, will now be hosted by the Colorado State track & field program on Sunday, April 14, at Jack Christiansen Track.
Â
The decision to move the meet from Saturday to Sunday was made due to the likelihood of warmer weather and more favorable conditions on Sunday. The meet schedule will remain entirely identical to the original schedule. Field events will start at 10 a.m. MT on Sunday, while running events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. MT.
Â
The Doug Max Invitational is the third meet to be held at the upgraded Jack Christiansen Track, following the Glenn Morris Multi and the Fum McGraw Open held from March 21-23. The meet is named in honor of current senior administrator and longtime Colorado State track & field coach, Doug Max, and presented by Ed Carroll VW Porsche Audi, Fort Collins.
