CSCAA recognizes Rams for 2019 Spring session

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – With a grade-point average of 3.23 for the 2019 spring semester, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association has named Colorado State's women's team to the Scholar All-America team, it announced Tuesday.

"Coach Christopher Woodard consistently produces one of our nation's best academic performers," said CSCAA executive director Greg Earhart in a release.

The Rams were recognized this year by the NCAA for being in the top 10 percent nationally in the sport for posting a perfect Academic Progress Rate for four consecutive years, a run that actually sits at five in a row.

In all, the CSCAA recognized 480 programs nationally, including a record 106 on the men's side. CSU's women's GPA sat right at the national median.

"All credit goes to these amazing young ladies and our dedicated academic support staff," Woodard said. "We have a lot of girls with very challenging majors and they set their sights high in terms of our team GPA, but more importantly it's a privilege to be surrounded by so many people who are passionate about what they study."
