FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Junior swimmer Jennae Frederick has personified student-athlete in her three years at Colorado State, excelling in the classroom and producing in the pool. Thursday she was recognized for her accomplishments as she was selected for the 2020 CoSIDA At-Large Academic All-District 7 team.

Frederick, from Littleton, carries a 4.0 GPA as she works her way toward a degree in international studies. As a member of swim team, she helped the Rams produce a team-record score at the Mountain West Championships (830.5) by scoring in all three of her individual events, led by a ninth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a career best time of 2:01.42. She also placed 14th in the 100 butterfly and 23rd in the 200 individual medley.

Student-athletes are selected for their combined achievements scholastically and competitively, voted on by members of CoSIDA. All-District honorees will be placed on the CoSIDA All-America ballot, with Academic All-Americans announced by the organization from June 16-19.

District 7 covers the states of Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. At-large sports include swimming, gymnastics, crew, beach volleyball, field hockey, lacrosse, ice hockey, field hockey, fencing, golf, rifle and tennis for the women.

Frederick has earned academic All-Mountain West and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete accolades every season and is now a seven-time placer at the conference meet.
