Spring 2020 is the ninth consecutive semester program has made the grade

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – For the ninth consecutive semester, Colorado State women's swimming and diving program has been recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America as a Scholar All-American team, the organization announced Tuesday.

To qualify, teams must post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the spring semester, their competition season. The CSCAA will not post GPAs this year, as some schools altered their grading system during the coronavirus outbreak, and schools which moved entirely to pass/fail grading did not qualify. CSU did post a 3.59 GPA for the spring semester as the Rams posted their best score (830.5) in placing fifth at the Mountain West Championships.

"The women on our team continue to prove they are dedicated student-athletes, setting and achieving goals in and out of the water." CSU head coach Christopher Woodard said. "When you pair the long run of academic success for our program, coupled with our improvement at the conference championships, it is rewarding to see them have a fulfilling collegiate experience."

In all, 461 men's and women's Division I teams were recognized by the organization, covering nearly 18,000 athletes, as all 10 Mountain West women's teams earned the distinction.
