Dear Rams,

I hope that you and your families remain well.  There has been a significant amount of activity over the past several weeks, and though I know this message will not provide all details related to the fall, my hope is that it is helpful.

I admire and appreciate the character and leadership our student-athletes continue to exhibit.  As the national conversation about social justice and equality continues, our student-athletes have come together to care for each other, collaborate and introduce options for meaningful change, share their voices thoughtfully and respectfully, and demonstrate peacefully in support of each other and positive change in our University and local communities.  These efforts have not been easy, and have required courage, but are helping us make positive change together.  If you have not already, please visit our Together webpage to learn some of the actions our athletic department community is taking.

Our student-athletes' transition back to voluntary summer work-outs is ongoing and we are laser-focused on our health and safety protocol.  This transition has been energizing for all of us, but I want everyone to know that we are 100 percent committed to following the guidance and direction of our state, county and University health and safety professionals.  We are fortunate to be surrounded by partners like those at UCHealth who are supporting our COVID-19 testing, the doctors at OCR and the CSU Health Network who continue to manage our student-athlete physical exams, the professionals on our University's Pandemic Preparedness Team and Athletic Performance Team whose collaboration provides some of the best process development, management, monitoring and treatment, if needed, nationwide.  It is also important for me to thank our student-athletes for their commitment to compliance.  We must sustain our efforts without compromise.

I remain excited for the fall.  I know that many of our students and season ticket partners are wondering what the fan experience at Canvas Stadium, Moby Arena and our Rams Soccer Field will be like.  Modified fan experience protocol is being finalized for all aspects of game day.

It's important for our fans to know that game day experiences will be different. We are required to follow state and county health orders. All fans will be required to follow public health precautions which may include physical distancing, masks, and other guidelines. At this time, the state and county precautions for this fall and their impact upon the logistics of viewing a game are still unknown; we are working closely with public health officials to determine answers to these questions. However, at this time, public health guidance continues to evolve and our planning is responsive to those public health orders.

We will be sharing more information as soon as we can about the fan experience, and this includes but is not limited to:
  • Tailgating
  • Tickets and Parking
  • Pregame Fan Activities
  • Arena/Stadium entrance
  • Concessions
  • Seating Options
  • Merchandise Sales
  • Cleaning

We remain committed to making sure we honor the loyal and generous support of all fans.  Family members of our student-athletes, students and season ticket partners all will have first priority as we finalize game day protocols.

Students on campus and Ram Ruckus continue to be at the forefront of our planning.  Similar to all others, the fan experience for students will be modified.  Student tickets will also continue to only be available on each full-time, active student account.  If not already complete, all students must activate their ticket account prior to being able to claim a ticket.  Student ticket accounts can be activated by visiting here.  The student ticket claim period will begin the week of August 3.  Additional student ticket claiming information will be distributed by the Rams Ticket Office prior to the week of August 3.

We will begin accepting football single-game ticket sales requests in July.  Thank you to those season ticket partners who have requested additional single-game tickets to our home football game vs. Colorado on Saturday, September 5.  These requests will have first priority if available.  On Monday, July 27, we will begin an exclusive presale request period for Colorado State Faculty, Staff and Alumni.  On Wednesday, July 29, we will accept single-game sale requests from the general public.  Requests are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.  No payments will be required at the time of requests but will be processed once ticket requests are confirmed by the Rams Ticket Office.  Single-game ticket requests will be confirmed beginning the week of August 17.

Below are a few important dates that I hope are helpful.  Please consider:
  • Monday, July 27 – Presale exclusive football single-game ticket requests for CSU Faculty/Staff and Alumni
  • Wednesday, July 29 – Presale football single-game ticket requests for the general public
  • Week of August 3 – Student ticket claim process begins
  • Week of August 3 – Delivery of Volleyball season tickets/mini-plans and parking
  • Week of August 10 – Delivery of Football season tickets/mini-plans and parking
  • Monday, August 17 – Single-game ticket availability notifications begin

As soon as additional game day protocol details are finalized we will share with you.  Additionally, below are links to our Game Day Central and Mobile Tickets and Parking webpages.  We will continue to update these webpages with additional information as it becomes available.
Thank you for your continued support of Colorado State Athletics.  Your attendance at our home events and your purchase of tickets is incredibly impactful. The adjustments being made by everyone in support of health and safety are not easy but are extremely important.  And with these adjustments, I remain incredibly excited for the upcoming seasons. We will share more information in the coming weeks.

Please stay well.

Go Rams!
