Texas product is eighth new addition to Woodard’s program
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Practicing a different type of lockdown, Christopher Woodard and his staff put the final touch on the 2020 recruiting class for Colorado State women's swimming and diving, adding swimmer Olivia LeBlanc, the program announced Thursday.
Â
LeBlanc brings versatility to the lanes, joining the five swimmers signed in the earlier period. With two divers joining last month, the Rams will welcome eight freshman student-athletes to the program for the 2020-21 season. The Rams closed last season by placing fifth at the Mountain West Championships in February with an all-time best team score (830.5) in the current 24-place format.
Â
"We are so excited about our newest additions to the Ram Swim & Dive program," Woodard said. "We wanted to find athletes who had a great passion for their studies, were great teammates with tremendous discipline and have scoring potential. We truly believe Olivia carries all the characteristics that our team and staff highly value."

Â
Olivia LeBlanc | Spring, Texas | Lone Star College
Â
She competed for club team Swim Streamline at Northampton, coached by Laura Koch Davis. She is an NCSA Juniors and Futures qualifier in five events, the 400- and 200-yard individual medleys, the 100 and 200 breaststroke and the 500 freestyle. She was the North Texas 5A TISCA 100 breaststroke champion with a personal-best time of 1:05.98 in the event. Her other PRs stand at: 4:26.27 in the 400 IM, 4:59.02 in the 500 free, 2:23.06 in the 200 breaststroke and 1:53.37 in the 200 freestyle. In the classroom, she posted a perfect score of 36 on her ACT, graduating in 2018 before taking online prep classes.
Â
Why CSU – "Although I never got to visit in person, there were so many opportunities to learn about the school, and I realized how friendly and supportive the swim team and people in general were, especially coach Christopher Woodard and coach Lisa Ginder – they've been a huge help in the recruiting process."
Â
Coach Woodard -- "We're excited about our newest swim addition to the Rams. Olivia LeBlanc is a very well-respected and intelligent leader from Swim Streamline and coach Laura Koch Davis. She possesses great range in her strokes, and we believe she will adapt quickly and become an impact player within the Mountain West in multiple events."
