Friedrichs graduates with seven in her career
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Over the course of four days at the Mountain West Championships, seven individuals and two relay teams earned all-conference honors the Colorado State women's swimming and diving team.
Â
The recognition goes to swimmers and divers who have placed in the top eight at the championship meet, or to relays placing in the top three.
Â
Senior Kristina Friedrichs capped her career by earning the distinction in three events – the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, as well as the 100 butterfly. She placed fourth in both the 50 free and 100 fly and finished third in the 100 free. She posted the second-fastest times in school history in both the 50 free (22.64) and 100 fly (53.64), with her time in the 100 free ranking third. She graduates with seven individual All-Mountain West honors.
Â
She also was part of both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays, which each included Anika Johnson, Megan Hager and Sarah Mundy. It is the first season since 2004 the Rams have had multiple relays earn All-Mountain West honors.
Â
Johnson was named all-conference for the second consecutive year in the 100 freestyle. The sophomore placed fourth in a time of 1:48.48, which is the second best in school history.

For Lindsay Gizzi, Lucy Matheson, Emily Chorpening and Maya White, the honors are the first of their career; Gizzi, Chorpening and White are freshmen, and Matheson did not join the team until the second semester.
