Team Announces Addition of Eight Freshmen

Two international students included in the class

FORT COLLINS  – In an effort to restock the tank, Colorado State women's swimming and diving coach Christopher Woodard announced the addition of eight freshman for the 2025-26 signing class.
 
The group is the largest wave of incoming freshmen for the program since the same number signed for the 2020-21 season. The class, which includes a pair of international swimmers, hits every stroke and promises to bring versatility to the lineup which will lose six performers at the end of the campaign.

Hadley Dodson | Austin, Texas | Anderson

One of the top 50 recruits in Texas, Dodson has earned all-state and all-region and all-district honors as a prep. … she is a two-time state placer in the 100-yard backstroke. … Competes for Waterloo Swimming Club, where she holds the 100 and 200 backstroke records. … Has qualified for Futures and Sectionals. … Holds personal bests of 2:02.61 in the 200 backstroke, 56.31 in the 100 backstroke and 4:29.17 in the 400 individual medley.
 
Associate head coach Lisa Ginder said: "Hadley is someone who will not only add depth and a punch to our backstroke line up, but she also has capabilities in fly and individual medley. She is well rounded and brings some great experience to this class. Hadley impressed us a great deal throughout the recruiting process, and we can't wait to start working with her!"
 
Gabby Hall | Mandeville, La. | Saint Scholastica Academy
 
The third-ranked recruit from Louisiana, she is a two-time state champion in the 100 butterfly, additionally winning titles in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke. … Added four state championships on relays. … A team captain ad a three-time team MVP. … Competes for swimPAC. … Won state club titles in the 50 free, 50-meter free and twice in the 50-meter back. … Has qualified for Speedo Sectionals, Futures and NCSA. … Holds personal bests of 56.04 in the 100 back, 56.32 in the 100 butterfly and 51.45 in the 100 freestyle.
 
Woodard said: "The Rams are landing an elite-level sprinter with the signing of Gabby Hall. Gabby broke through last season and displayed her versatility across the freestyle, butterfly and backstroke events. Her ability to run competitors down in her races will provide some immediate grit to our sprint corps, and her dedication to the process makes her a coach's dream."
 
Margo Hauser | Leawood, Kans. | Blue Valley North
 
A state champion in the 500 freestyle and the 100 backstroke, she is ranked the sixth-best recruit in her state. … Additionally won state titles on relays, with her 200 medley team earning All-American status in 2024 setting the state record. … Competes for COOL Swim Team. … Holds personal bests of 1:04.25 in the 100 breaststroke, 5:02.22 in the 500 freestyle and 2:22.07 in the 200 breaststroke.
 
Woodard said: "Margo Hauser will bring raw athleticism and a team-first attitude to Fort Collins next season. Margo impressed our staff with her athletic frame and willingness to swim unique lineups. Her ability to swim high-level breaststroke events, mixed with some endurance freestyle and individual medley make her ideal for dual-meet lineups. As Margo continues to develop strength, she will become a real threat in every event she contests."
 
Ellie Kennington | Lake District, UK | Plymouth College
 
A placer at the British Summer Nationals, she was named her school's female swimmer of the year in 2022. … Placed fourth in the 50-meter butterfly at the age of 17, third in the event at age 15 at summer nationals. … Captain of her swim team. … Holds short-course meters personal bests of 1:10.67 in the 100 breaststroke, 2:32.91 in the 200 breaststroke and 1:02.91 in the 100 butterfly.
 
Woodard said: "Making the long journey from the UK to the USA, Ellie Kennington possesses the maturity and discipline that CSU Swim & Dive will need in the breaststroke and butterfly events next season. Ellie brings a wealth of national and international experience, but it was her positive attitude, intelligence and competitive drive that caught our attention. Ellie should provide immediate punch to the breaststroke events next year."
 
Emma Lindstrom | Eagle, Colo. | Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy
 
She holds seven top-three finishes at the Class 3A state meet (for Glenwood Springs) in her career. … The 13th-ranked recruit in the state, she was named rookie of the year on her high school team and holds the 200 freestyle record, as well as being part of the school marks in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle teams. … Competes for the Avon Swim Club. … A Futures qualifier, she has placed in the top 18 in the 100 and 200 freestyles at Sectionals. … Both of her parents and an aunt were collegiate athletes.
 
Woodard said: "Racing at altitude should not be any problem for Colorado native Emma Lindstrom. Emma is the consummate team player and that unselfish attitude and ability to mentor other athletes immediately attracted our coaching staff. That manifests in Emma's willingness to swim just about any event. Though her utility is undeniable, her primary asset will be pushing the pack in the freestyle and IM events."

The seventh-ranked recruit in her state by SwimCloud, she is a four-time state placer in high school. … Was her high school team MVP from 2022-24. … Competes for Memphis Thunder Aquatic Club. … Has qualified for the Futures Championships, Winter Junior Championships and Southern Zone Championships. … Holds personal bests of 55.83 in the 100 butterfly, 57.44 in the 100 backstroke and 52.36 in the 100 freestyle. … Comes from a swimming family as her father, Steve, an aunt and two uncles swam collegiately.
 
Woodard said: "Evie Munz may be a very kind and polite person, but once the race starts, she is out to beat competitors. Evie has had a great run as of late and has developed into a leg-driven sprinter who can dominate on the underwaters. No doubt she will make an impact in the freestyle, butterfly and backstroke events."
 
Monica Schmidt | Madison, Wisc. | Verona Area
 
A five-time state placer, she is ranked the 12th-best recruit in her state. … Qualified for state every year, placing twice in both the 500 freestyle and the 200 individual medley, earning honorable mention all-state honors. … Competes for Verona Area Swim Teams, qualifying for Futures NCSA, Speedo Sectionals, placing at all three meets. … Holds personal bests of 4:28.63 in the 400 individual medley, 2:06.67 in the 200 individual medley and 2:06.63 in he 200 butterfly. … Her mother, Kari, played collegiate soccer.

The second-ranked recruit in Ontario, she brings experience from competing at Canadian Nationals and the Canadian Olympic Trials. … A distance freestyler, she holds long-course meters personal bests of 2:07.05 in the 200 free, 4:28.56 in the 400 and 17:43.39 in the 1,500. … Has a twin sister who is also a competitive swimmer. … Member of her school's honor roll. … Competed for Markham Aquatic Club.
