Rams represent cross country team at final meet of the season.

VERONA, Wisc. – Anna Petr and Lars Mitchel represented Colorado State cross country at the NCAA Championships on Saturday. Both Rams earned at-large qualification bids after their performances at the NCAA Mountain Regional in Reno, Nev., last week.

Petr was making her second appearance at the meet and impressed with a career-best 155^th finish after running a time of 20:50.5. Petr was a member of the 2023 Ram women's team that ran at nationals, with the Michigan native finishing 161^st.

Mitchel was also competing at the NCAA Championships for the second time in his career, having placed 186th in the 2022 running. Mitchel ran a 30:40.0 on Saturday morning at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, placing 189^th.

Colorado State track and field shifts its sights to the 2024-25 indoor season as the Rams kick things off on Dec. 7 at the Wyoming Power Meet and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
