Recognition marks 14th consecutive semester for the program

Colorado State coach Christopher Woodard takes pride in his program's academic success, for good reason.

Perfect APR scores are definitely part of the equation, as is recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America. On Monday it was announced the Rams earned the distinction of being a CSCAA Fall Scholar All-America team, marking the 14th consecutive semester the team has achieved the status.

Teams must maintain a 3.0 GPA for the semester to be named.

Colorado State elevated its GPA to 3.60 this fall, eclipsing the 3.58 from a year ago. All eight Mountain West teams were recognized, with Colorado State posting the third-best GPA; the conference was one of 19 (men's or women's) with perfect representation.

Among the total, 11 members of the team posted perfect 4.0 GPAs for the fall – Lindsey Blake, Emma Breslin, Maggie Di Scipio, Maddi Geyer, Megan Hager, Sophia Hemingway, Anika Johnson, Olivia LeBlanc, Katie McClelland, Tess Whineray and Claire Wright. Among the upperclassmen, both Hager and Wright have 4.0s during their academic career.
