Rams Excited for New NIL Initiatives from The Green and Gold Guard

NIL support is critical in the ever-evolving world of college athletics.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State Athletics is excited to endorse and support new giving initiatives led by The Green and Gold Guard, the official collective of Colorado State Athletics.

Contributions to The Guard directly benefit Colorado State student-athletes Name, Image, and Likeness activities and have been focused primarily within the Fort Collins and northern Colorado community.

Through the month of March and into April, The Guard has launched multiple new initiatives including one backed by two anonymous donors who will match donations up to a total of $150,000.

"We believe (these initiatives) embody the spirit and commitment of the CSU community towards our athletic programs and provides a tangible way to show support for our student-athletes," said Chris Schmidt, Executive Director of The Green and Gold Guard and a 1990 graduate of Colorado State University.

"Support for The Green and Gold Guard and the opportunities they provide to our student-athletes has never been more critical," said Interim Director of Athletics John Weber. "Contributions to The Guard are directly tied to enhancing our student-athletes' ability to connect with the community and to foster the winning culture we are seeking throughout our programs."
