Taye Holker Named Mountain West Female Field Athlete of the Week

Holker hits eighth best long jump mark in the nation to earn weekly award
FORT COLLINS -Â Jumper Taye Holker was named the Mountain West Female Field Athlete of the Week after her performance at the Colorado Invitational last weekend.

Despite the wind, Holker placed first in long jump with a mark of 6.50 meters, which ranks her eighth so far in the nation and first in the NCAA Mountain Region.

Taye also placed first in the 100-meter dash with a personal best time of 11.68. With this new time, she sits tied for ninth in the CSU record book.

The Rams will continue their outdoor season at both the Bryan Clay Invitational and Pacific Coast Intercollegiate meet this weekend beginning April 11.
