MEET NOTESÂ
- Tatum Berg enters the field as the most decorated CSU Ram of the 2025 season. Berg has claimed a first overall finish, two MW freshman of the week awards, and one female athlete of the week. She comes into the race with the third fastest time by a MW freshman. Â
- Joining the Berg at the conference title meet is a pair of fellow freshmen in Ruby Schwelm and Amrie Lacefield. Lacefield sports the fourth best time by a MW freshman this year while Schwelm falls just outside of the top ten. On the men's side, two freshmen make the trek in Jonas Scudamore and Parker Westermann. Westermann ranks fourth among conference freshman and pulled in a freshman of the week award earlier this season. Â
- The women's side has shown a myriad of inspiring performances this year with four different athletes coming in as the top finisher for Colorado State. Mari Konold has shown out in her last two bouts, finishing second at the UCCS XC Open (Oct. 10th), then recording a team best 20:54.0 at the Pre-National Invite (Oct. 17th) a week later. Kenya Dennee has shown a similar track record finishing first at the UCCS XC Open, then recording a 20:57.8Â in her next contest. Â Â
- Ryan Schumacher is slated to make his first ever appearance for Green and Gold this week. The Notre Dame transfer finished ninth place at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals last season and looks to be a major addition to the men's side.  Joining him is Jackson Barna, a Georgetown transfer who showed promise in his only event of the year with a 24:05.2 at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite (Oct. 3rd). Â
- Several Rams return to conference that made the journey last year; the list includes Chris Henry and Ben Kirbo on the men's side, then Denne, Annie Macabobby, Kensey May and Allison Pippert on the women's. May finished an impressive 14th to receive a second team all-conference last season. Pippert finished 19th, showing promise in her freshman campaign.Â
