UCCS Pre-Holiday Invite and Multis serves as last event until new year
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State track and field will take stage in its final competition before the new year this Friday and Saturday in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The UCCS Pre-Holiday Invite and Multis has served as the final meet of CSU's campaign five years and counting.Â

- Freshman Taylor Waters gets back to work after a statement debut last week at the Wyoming Power Meet (Dec. 6). The former Colorado high school state champion moved to eighth in the Colorado State all-time record book in his first collegiate meet 5.03-meters/16-feet-6-. Â
- The Colorado State athlete of the week, Jamison Taylor also adds another start this year after finishing second in the long jump at the Wyoming Invite. Taylors' mark last week tied the second-best jump in CSU history at 7.47-/24-6t. Â
- The women's side of the jump squad sees new and old faces, including senior Cierra Gonzalez. Gonzales ranks 17th in school history in the long jump. Another name in the record book who will compete this weekend is Kylee Kielian who ranks 11th in the triple jump.Â
- Another member of the flight crew making their return this week is senior captain Rhys Travis. Travis finished gold in the high jump at the Mountain West Indoor championships last season and looks to lead his team to double champ status once again.Â
