Woodard’s program on current streak of 27 semesters with a 3.00 GPA or better
FORT COLLINS  – The current string is one the program is rather proud to continue.
Â
On Monday, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America announced Colorado State's women's swimming and diving program earned 2024 Fall Scholar All-America honors after the 24 members of the team posted a team GPA of 3.52. Teams are recognized for having a GPA of 3.00 or better.
Â
This marks the 27th consecutive semester the squad has posted a GPA of 3.00 or better for a semester, the second-best streak in the athletic department behind the women's track and field roster.
Â
"As a program, we strive to create a championship culture in competition and our staff is proud of our team for carrying that over to the classroom," Woodard said. "This is a remarkable achievement by them, as the demands on a student-athlete are to succeed in dual endeavors while at Colorado State, and year after year, our team continues to be stalwart in those pursuits."
Â
Seven members of Woodard's team posted a perfect GPA for the fall semester – Lindsey Blake, Maggie Di Scipio, Katie Flynn, Sophia Hemingway, Maya White, Addi Wicklund and Claire Wright. Among them, Blake, Hemingway, Wicklund and Wright carry cumulative 4.0 GPAs.
