Flynn, Trietley, Whineray and White named CSC All-District

FORT COLLINS  – Excelling in the lanes as well as in their desired academic pursuits, four members of Colorado State's women's swimming and diving team were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

To qualify, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of competitions for the season, have posted top conference results and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Earning the distinction for the Rams were senior captains Katie Flynn and Maya White, junior Lexie Trietley and sophomore Tess Whineray.

Whineray, a four-time All-Mountain West performer, carries a 3.98 GPA, White, named All-Mountain West eight times, carries a 3.91, as does Flynn, an eight-time conference placer as an individual. Trietley, a five-time All-Mountain West performer, carries a 3.68. All four rank in the top 10 in program history in at least one event.

This is the second time White has been honored by the organization; it is the first for the other three.
