Game
- The Florida Gators communications staff announced the temperature of 96 degrees at kickoff tied the record for hottest game played in The Swamp (9/11/10 vs. USF).
- It was the third-hottest game the Rams have ever played:
- 9/16/2000 at Arizona State – 103 degrees
- 9/7/2013 at Tulsa – 98 degrees
- 9/15/2018 at Florida – 96 degrees
- It was the third-hottest game the Rams have ever played:
- CSU held Florida to just 27 total yards in the first quarter (13 total plays, 2.1 yds/play). This came after the Rams held Arkansas to just 16 yards in the fourth quarter on Sept. 8, meaning over two consecutive quarters of play versus SEC teams, CSU surrendered just 37 total yards.
- The Rams scored on consecutive possessions:
- CSU ended the first half with a 53-yard field goal from Wyatt Bryan, then began the second half with a 7-play, 75-yard drive over 3:33 that resulted in a 48-yard TD pass from K.J. Carta-Samuels to Trey McBride.
- This is the first time the Rams have played two teams from the Southeastern Conference in the same season, let alone in back-to-back weeks. CSU beat Arkansas last week in Fort Collins, 34-27.
- CSU outgained Florida 240-119 through the air, but the Gators had a significant edge on the ground (222-70).
- CSU had finished with a time of possession of 38:33 (compared to Florida’s 21:27), earned more first downs (22-14) and ran 83 plays to Florida’s 44. Florida owned an advantage in yards-per-play at 7.8 to 3.7.
- Colorado State’s three turnovers led directly to 13 points (2 FGs, 1 TD) and two punting miscues produced 14 more Florida points (blocked punt recovered for TD; punt returned for a TD), accounting for 27 of Florida’s 48 points
- Today’s attendance of 80,021 was seventh-highest for a game in CSU's program history.
Individual
CB Rashad Ajayi
- Ajayi registered his first career sack on the Gators’ first drive of the second half. The play came on a first-and-10, and the Rams would force a punt soon after.
CB V.J. Banks
- Banks had his second interception of the season at the 4:26 mark of the first quarter, giving the Rams the ball back at their own 32-yard line.
K Wyatt Bryan
- Bryan connected on a 53-yard field goal to end the first half, giving CSU its first points of the game.
- Bryan now has 304 points in his career at CSU, extending his career record. Bryan set the record during the Rams’ game against Arkansas on Sept. 8.
- The mechanical engineering major is now 6-of-8 in his career from 50+ yards out (1-for-2 today)
QB K.J. Carta-Samuels
- Carta-Samuels completed 21-of-33 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown.
- Tossed a 48-yard TD to freshman tight end Trey McBride in the team’s opening drive of the second half.
- Completed 8 of his first 10 passes, including 3 connections with WR Preston Williams.

- Hawkins had the two longest kick returns of his career, with a long of 51 followed by a 31-yarder.
RB Marvin Kinsey, Jr.

- McBride, a true freshman, hauled in the first touchdown of his career at the 11:27 mark of the third quarter, making the score 27-10 in the Gators favor.
- McBride finished the game with 3 receptions for 60 yards and the one touchdown.
- His initial reception today was the first of his career, a 5-yard completion from K.J. Carta-Samuels just before halftime to the Gators’ 35-yard line to set up Wyatt Bryan’s 53-yard field goal for the Rams’ first points of the game.
WR Preston Williams
- Williams had 9 receptions for 106 yards
